BitAnd built-in function
The BitAnd function returns the result of ANDing two strings together, bit by bit.
Portability note: when the result will be treated as a sequence of character codes,
different character encodings can occur in different machine environments.
result = BitAnd( [ string1 [, [string2] [, pad ] ] ] )
- The first string.
- An optional second string. If this string is omitted, then an empty string is used for
- An optional character that is used to extend the shorter of the two strings so that they have
the same length. If the pad character is omitted, the AND operation concludes when the end of
the shorter string is reached.
say BitAnd( '73'x, '27'x ) -- shows the character code associated with '23'x
say BitAnd( '13'x, '5555'x ) -- shows the character codes associated with '1155'x
say BitAnd( '13'x, '5555'x, '74'x ) -- shows the character code associated with '1154'x
